Never let it be said that Warren Beatty isn't smart. When it came time to assemble the soundtrack to his gonzo, racially charged political comedy Bulworth, he decided that it should contain nothing but hip-hop, not only because that may defuse some of the racial tension in the movie, but it would bring the film to a younger audience who really couldn't care less about Beatty. So, he hired Karyn Rachtman, one of the best soundtrack executive producers in the business (Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Boogie Nights, Romeo and Juliet), who assembled a frighteningly excellent roster of first-rate talent, all of whom contribute brand new songs. Ice Cube, the Fugees, Dr. Dre, Public Enemy, Mack 10, Cypress Hill's B Real, LL Cool J, and members of the Wu-Tang Clan are among the many artists who contribute to this terrific soundtrack, which is one of the best of its kind in recent memory.
