All Music Guide Review
Hip-O's second entry into their vintage disco collection starts heading into mainstream hits with more emphasis on name artists as well. Hits aboard on this 12-track collection include the Dramatics' "Shake It Well," the Crusaders' "Street Life," Bootsy's Rubber Band's "The Pinocchio Theory," the Bar-Kays' "Holy Ghost," Parliament's "Flash Light" and Rufus featuring Chaka Khan's "Dance Wit Me." This compilation also includes some great one-off sides by Mass Production ("Firecracker"), Tom Browne ("Funkin' for Jamaica [N.Y.]"), Rose Royce ("Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is"), GQ ("Disco Nights [Rock Freak])," Stargard ("Theme Song From "Which Way Is Up") and Vaughan Mason & Crew ("Bounce, Rock, Skate, Roll-Part 1") to fill things out. ~ Cub Koda, All Music Guide
