Dexter's Laboratory was one of the most inventive television cartoons of the last half of the '90s -- a toon that built on the innovations of Ren & Stimpy and was streamlined a bit for children, but still with a subversive edge and weird sense of humor. All of that is evident on this soundtrack, which captures the spirit of the cartoon through original songs and songs from the series. It won't win any new fans, but those that love the show will get a kick out of this disc. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, Rovi
