All Music Guide Review
Celebrating the pop and dance culture of the 1990s, EMI Gold released the two-disc, 36-track School's Out '90s, spanning the decade of synth-based music, including Vanilla Ice's "Ice Ice Baby," White Town's "Your Woman," Paula Abdul's "Rush Rush," Neneh Cherry's "Buddy X," and Supergrass' "Alright." The first disc is more dance-oriented, though the songs should be familiar to most '90s radio listeners, while the second one is poppier (Chumbawamba is on it, for what that tells you). A lot of the songs are pretty bad, probably songs you never thought you would have to hear again, but that's part of the record's appeal; it's a return to all that was happening back then, and for reason's of posterity alone (think of the screams of excitement when you pop this CD in at your next party), School's Out '90s is a fun album, in a guilty pleasure kind of way. ~ Marisa Brown, All Music Guide
