Throughout their tumultuous career, En Vogue somehow managed to craft a legacy of singles that were far superior to the totality of their album output. It was a series of successes few of their contemporaries could measure up to, and this installment in the Essentials series captures 12 of their biggest singles on one disc. Trimming the fat from 2001's otherwise excellent Best of En Vogue, all of the hits are included here: from their sultry rendition of the soul classic "Giving Him Something He Can Feel" to the hard-rocking "Free Your Mind," the ladies prove time and time again that their vocal versatility and sexiness are adaptable in any setting.
