    In 1998 the Simitar label, a division of Warner Special Products, released several budget-priced discs featuring number one hits from the '60s, '70s and '80s, loosely based around such themes as Rock It Up, Lovin' Feelings and Party On. Each disc presents the original version of these popular singles on a 16-track CD. Number Ones: The 70's highlights include "Free Ride" (the Edgar Winter Group), "Clap for the Wolfman" (the Guess Who), "Seasons in the Sun" (Terry Jacks) and "Time in a Bottle" (Jim Croce). Despite minor packaging flaws, Simitar's Number Ones is a decent budget-line series. ~ Al Campbell, All Music Guide
