Pigface

Pigface's The Head Remixes is comprised of five previously available remix albums -- 8 Bit Head, Head, Pigface Presents Crackhead: The DJ? Acucrack Remix Album, Dubhead, Clubhead Nonstopmegamix #1 -- and a laminate for the band's 2003 tour. The Underground, Inc. label had announced only 500 copies of the box set would be available, but the number stamped on the bottom of the box indicates there were 750 copies made, an ambitious number considering how many fans might actually want the set. While all of the remix albums are good to great, the band's hardcore following has probably bought them along the way and an expired laminate is nowhere near as thrilling as exclusive music. Glitch, dub, and hard club music figure into the picture more than the industrial mayhem the band is known for, so don't worry about this set until you've devoured their regular efforts. ~ David Jeffries, All Music Guide
