Because no workout is complete without a soundtrack, Ubl Music compiled and mixed a two-disc album to accompany the requisite lunges, steps, and jumps of any planned aerobic exercise. Each disc begins more slowly (126 and 124 bpm, respectively) and gradually speeds up as, hopefully, the exerciser's heart rate increases accordingly. Although this is an album with a purpose, not something to be listened to on its own -- unless you happen to have a particular fondness for remixed versions of club and dance songs -- there's still a pretty good selection within in, from Scissor Sisters' "Filthy Gorgeous" to Carl Cox's "Give Me Your Love" to Girls on Film's "Vaporized" to Marco V's "False Light." So if you're looking to burn some calories and strengthen your cardiovascular system, and don't feel like spending the time to find Hi-NRG music to move you along, Work This: Reloaded does as good of a job as anything else. ~ Marisa Brown, All Music Guide
