Big Indie Beats samples a selection of third-wave ska bands, some of them infectiously fun, some a bit below par. As such, it's an uneven listen, but its budget price means it's a great way for ska fans to discover new groups (which is the whole point of the release anyway). Many of the highlights come from Bim Skala Bim, Daddy Long Legs, Johnny Socko, and Six Feet Deep. ~ Steve Huey, All Music Guide
