Volume 2 of Gap Band hits consists mainly of tunes designed for the Soul Train dancers and dancefloor demons that don't hold up well outside of that element. These are partying tunes with little music appreciation value. Two exceptions are the Tulsa, OK, band's sweet remake of the Friends of Distinction's "Going In Circles," where Charlie Wilson displays his vocal prowess and lyric sensitivity, and "I Found My Love," a mid-tempo groove. But booty shakers like "Beep a Freak," "Zibble, Zibble," "I'm Gonna Get You Sucka," and the rocksteady-ish "Big Fun" reign supreme. ~ Andrew Hamilton, All Music Guide
