    All Music Guide Review

    For those looking for a collection of unobtrusive, clean, and positively themed house music (most of the song titles have something to do with either "love" or "freedom"), Bar Susu, Vol. 3, a two-disc (one mixed and one unmixed-plus-additional tracks) set, could be a good option. The material is well-chosen, maintaining atmosphere and vibe without ever losing the groove. DJ Pope ("Each One Teach One"), Afro Angel ("Join Me Brother"), Bah Samba ("Far Away"), East West Connection ("Love Music"), and Tortured Soul ("Always in Heaven When I'm with You") are all included in various original and remixed forms, each group adding its own influences to the overall sound and feel of the album, which gives it some nice diversity. Bar Susu isn't revolutionary stuff, it's just straightforward (in a good way) house that doesn't pretend to be anything other than that. ~ Marisa Brown, All Music Guide
