This 1998 compilation from the Recall label collects 20 tracks from the veteran U.K. new wave singer, all of which are later works. Fans looking for Tom Robinson classics like "2-4-6-8 Motorway," "Up Against the Wall" and "War Baby" will be disappointed, as all of the tracks on the "Studio Masters" disc are from 1994's Love over Rage and 1996's Having It Both Ways. Disc two features ten live songs, including "Yuppy Scum," "Days," and the "Brits Come Rolling Back." Listeners looking for a good Robinson anthology should check out 1997's Rising Free: The Very Best of Tom Robinson Band. ~ James Christopher Monger, All Music Guide
