All Music Guide Review

Dwellin' in the Labb makes JT the Bigga Figga's previous album, Playaz N' the Game, sound like a demo tape. Not only does the San Francisco rapper's rhymes improve but this album also finds better songwriting and better backing music. Sure, JT still may not be on the level of the best West Coast rappers -- Ice Cube, Too Short, Eazy-E, and Latyrx -- but he does manage to handle his words with flowing ease. Guest appearances by the GLP bring variety to the album and are almost on par with JT's rhymes. This album's better songwriting also makes it a more listenable record, integrating some catchy choruses for listeners to cling to. Finally, the production also moves forward on Dwellin' in the Labb with some bouncy beats, more than enough G-funk synths, and a dark aura. By the end of the album, one cannot stress how much JT and his crew have improved with just one album. ~ Jason Birchmeier, All Music Guide
