    All Music Guide Review

    Featured vocalist Graciela, Machito's sister, is given star billing; she more than lives up to it in both slow boleros and faster tempos. The horns and vocals are a bit brash, as in previous Tico recordings, but the obvious excitement in the performances seems to merit an aggressive mix. Many moments are simply timeless Latin-jazz that could have been performed decades later. "Yo Tengo Un Mate" is by Machito. ~ Tony Wilds, All Music Guide
