    All Music Guide Review

Based on '70s authority Barry Scott's book We Had Joy, We Had Fun and his syndicated radio show The Lost 45s, this collection brings together 14 tracks that were all hits, but all of which have scarcely seen the light of day since their respective heyday on the charts. True "obscure" hits like "Moonlight Feels Right" by Starbuck, "The Safety Dance" by Men Without Hats, "Him" by Rupert Holmes (all of these were Top Ten chart entries!!) permeate the mix, while tracks like "More Than Just the Two of Us" by Sneaker, "I Wanna Hear It From Your Lips" by Eric Carmen, "Without You (Not Another Lonely Night)" by Frankie & the Knockouts, and "You Don't Want Me Anymore" by Steel Breeze certainly jog the memory banks. Tracks from one-shot artists like Tony Carey, Chilliwack, Balance, Kenny Nolan, Van Stephenson, Tycoon and Quarterflash complete this package. If there's such a thing as a "forgotten" hit from that time period, this collection certainly rounds up some of the most interesting ones. ~ Cub Koda, All Music Guide
