90's Chartbreakers is an Australian-market budget set chronicling alternative and pop hits of the decade. Since it's designed for the Aussie market, there's a "My Town" by Glass Tiger for every "Are You Gonna Go My Way" from Lenny Kravitz. Still, at three CDs and an economical price, pop aficionados might find some interest. Highlights include Crowded House's "Nails in My Feet," the goofy swagger of Fun Lovin' Criminals' "Scooby Snacks," a decent club remix of the Kim Carnes classic "Bette Davis Eyes," and Joshua Kadison's Elton John-indebted adult contempo nugget "Jessie." Of course, there's also some Richard Marx and tepid club-dance from Candy Girls, so tread lightly. ~ Johnny Loftus, All Music Guide
