Submit Your ReviewA slinky sort of jump-up drum'n'bass mix, Mickey Finn's march through names big and small was a vividly entertaining response to jungle's increasingly bloated personality, tellingly released the same year as Goldie's SaturnzReturn. Though he had a lot to pick from his own Urban Takeover roster, Finn restrained from making it merely an endless label infomercial by choosing a wider variety of names such as DJ Krust, Gang Related, Johnny L., and Phurry Freaks. As a result The Takeover Bid: Round 2 felt full and refreshingly accessible. Standouts were Prisoners of Technology's droll "One-Two" and Aphrodite and Finn's terrifically progressive remix of Moby's "Honey." ~ Dean Carlson, All Music Guide
