All Music Guide Review

Ostensibly a label compilation spotlighting Finn Kim Rapatti's Dum Records, Dum Trax turns out to be virtually a Rapatti solo album. Besides tracks from his most famous guise Mono Junk, such Rapatti aliases as Mars 31, Melody Boy 2000 and Detroit Diesel are featured on Dum Trax. The productions are midtempo Detroit acid fusions, leaning quite close to Aphex Twin's earlier SAW material, but with a bit less nuance. Most of the tracks are taken from 1993-94 Dum singles, though several are exclusives. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
