    The limited-edition Zone 105: Zone Sessions Vol. 1 collects a series of performances recorded live in the studios of the Minneapolis alt-rock radio station, with featured artists tending toward the mainstream/adult alternative end of the spectrum. There are new versions of Marcy Playground's "Sex and Candy," Fastball's "The Way," Sixpence None the Richer's "Kiss Me," Eagle Eye Cherry's "Save Tonight," Jars of Clay's "Crazy Times," Toad the Wet Sprocket's "Whatever I Fear," Fuel's "Shimmer," and others. It's a nice supplement for anyone who enjoyed the original versions of these radio hits and would like hearing them in a slightly different, often more immediate setting. ~ Steve Huey, All Music Guide
