In this world of TMI -- too much information -- it is disheartening that a fantastic band like the Farm are virtually unknown, and that a sublime disc like Back Together Now! Live is more of an introduction to their music for people who never knew they left. Where the New Radicals song "You Get What You Give" shot around the world and back with its incessant hook and refreshing sound, there is a similar vibe found in the Farm's "Love See No Colour," but this great composition is pretty much lost to the ages, aside from the cult that understandably adores this ensemble. There are lots of pluses here, eight songs recorded live at London's Brixton Academy on March 26, 2005, and four more tunes taped at L.I.P.A. Rehearsal Rooms in Liverpool on August 23, 2006. Opening with their avant-garde cover of the Monkees' "Stepping Stone," the concert is spectacularly lit and wonderfully filmed. Beverly and Barbara Keenan add super backing vocals, which are such an important component of the sound generated by the six guys. "Groovy Train" has the huge crowd rocking while this Brit-pop band delivers the energy, sound, and performance. Back Together Now! Live is a solid introduction to this band's catalog, and something that can easily bring in new fans, since the music is so accessible and captivating. The DVD includes an interview with the group. ~ Joe Viglione, All Music Guide
