    All Music Guide Review

Santana does a stellar job anchoring this collection of big-dumb-breaks techno, with all the time-stretched vocals, dark waves of acid trance, and batches of sinister vocal samples any listener craves from a Moonshine compilation. Alongside his own tracks like "Chemical Meltdown," "Off to Demention X," and "Double Dove" (each recorded under a different alias, natch), Santana mixes in tracks by Mild Mannered Janitors, Electroliners, and Jaguar. Though its IQ level isn't stratospheric, Battle for Planet of the Breaks is an excellent club and party record. ~ John Bush, Rovi
