Composer Rolfe Kent's score for director Mike Binder's film Reign Over Me is an atmospheric, plaintive, and hypnotic collection of themes that perfectly match the film's dramatic and somewhat melancholy storyline. While generally orchestral in tone, Kent does intersperse some electronic, pop, jazz, and calypso styles throughout, lending the moody score a kind of organic feeling rooted in the film's New York City environs. ~ Matt Collar, All Music Guide
