    All Music Guide Review

This average quality live recording showcases Alcatrazz on their successful 1984 Japanese tour -- the only country where the band could get arrested. Besides performing songs from their debut album, the band run through a few of vocalist Graham Bonnet's Rainbow-era songs ("Since You've Been Gone," "All Night Long," and "Night Games") and guitarist Yngwie J. Malmsteen's soon-to-be-released solo work ("Evil Eye"). Therefore, the album is more interesting as a historical curiosity than an artistic statement, as it provides one of the earliest showcases of a young Malmsteen shredding in a live setting. In fact, the guitarist quickly dispels any rumors that the words "restraint" and "economy" were ever part of his musical vocabulary. Malmsteen's attempts to cram every available space with a barrage of notes is both comical and amazing. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, All Music Guide
