This two-disc package combines two of Burl Ives' entries in the 20th Century Masters series, 2001's The Millennium Collection and 2003's The Christmas Collection, which in turn was a reissue of The Very Best of Burl Ives Christmas from 1999. Thanks to Ives' comfortable, soothing tenor vocals, it all fits pretty well together, and his essential sides are here, including "A Little Bitty Tear," "Big Rock Candy Mountain," "Foggy, Foggy Dew," "Blue Tail Fly," "Funny Way of Laughin'," and the Christmas classic "A Holly Jolly Christmas." ~ Steve Leggett, All Music Guide
