This is simply an import repackaging of the first two Stooges records, from 1969 and 1970 respectively, both of which feature the original lineup of vocalist Iggy Pop, Ron and Scott Asheton on guitar and drums respectively, and the late Scott Alexander on bass. John Cale produced the self-titled first album, and Don Gallucci produced Fun House. Executive producer Jac Holzman oversaw both records. Slipped into a dodgy slipcase, these are not remastered versions of either of these albums, they contain no bonus material -- nor do they need any -- and given that this is a Warner Special Markets project, from overseas, they more than likely cost more than their better sounding American counterparts. ~ Thom Jurek, All Music Guide
