The first film to reunite superstars Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna since their breakout performances in the Oscar-nominated "Y Tu Mama Tambien". The soundtrack starts off with Bernal singing a regional Mexican version of the Cheap Trick classic, "I Want You To Want Me", called "Quiero Que Me Quieras", which is already a smash hit in Mexico. Additional versions are included in English by Latin alt rockers Juan Son and in Spanish by Quiero Club. Also featured are indie rock favorites Juana Molina, The Black Lips, and Devendra Banhart performing their own versions of regional Mexican classics. Nortec Collective Presents Bostich + Fussible, Mexican Institute Of Sound, and Saul Hernandez (of Jaguares) round out the soundtrack with their own takes on some of their homeland's most recognizable songs.
