In a career that has spanned more than 30 years, Elvis Costello has distinguished himself as one of pop music’s most prolific and versatile
musicians. His latest work, Secret, Profane & Sugarcane, produced by T Bone Burnett (Raising Sand, O Brother Where A rt Thou?), is an all-new CD recorded during a three-day session at Nashville’s Sound Emporium Studio.
* These are the first Costello compositions to be predominantly rooted in acoustic music since his 1986 album King Of America, which was also produced by T Bone Burnett
* Features some of the most highly regarded recording and musicians in traditional
American country music, Bluegrass and beyond: Jerry Douglas (dobro), Stuart Duncan (fiddle),
Mike Compton (mandolin), Jeff Taylor (accordion) and Dennis Crouch (double bass). Also features harmony vocals throughout the record by Jim Lauderdale, and Emmylou Harris performing harmony on "The Crooked Line"
