    With tracks by Cat Power, the Kooks, and Santigold, 17 Again has the dubious honor of being the hippest soundtrack to emerge from a Zac Efron film. Of course, the fact that the liner notes double as a hunky "locker poster" reminds us that this album still caters to the High School Musical audience, no matter how trendy the track list may be. A handful of older artists -- Young MC, Kenny Loggins, and Kool & the Gang -- round out the mix, making for a compilation that's only occasionally engaging but rarely unpleasant. ~ Andrew Leahey, All Music Guide

    Zac Efron stars in this age-defying comedy, produced by Hairspray director Adam Shankman. Efron stars as the teenage version of Mike O'Donnell, a middle-aged father (played by Matthew Perry) who wakes up to find he's seventeen again and decides to enroll in school to see what his kids' lives are like as one of their peers. Soundtrack includes songs from Cat Power, The Kooks, The Duke Spirit, and many more!
