She Was Only a Grocer's Daughter is the Blow Monkeys best and most popular album. Standout tracks include "It Doesn't Have to Be This Way," "Some Kind of Wonderful," and "Out With Her." She Was Only a Grocer's Daughter is not difficult to find used, and is a solid album with a smaller price tag than many of the available new imports. Does not include "You Don't Own Me," which was the band's biggest song in the U.S. because of its inclusion on 1987's Dirty Dancing soundtrack. recommended for fans of the Style Council, ABC, and Spandau Ballet. The best-of compilations might be where those who know the band should start. Those experimenting with a trip down new romantic lane will know what to think of the Blow Monkeys after hearing this album. ~ JT Griffith, All Music Guide
