    All Music Guide Review

    DJ Kool's album debut was an incredibly wide-ranging LP with few similarities to any contemporary hip-hop act, except possibly Mantronix. Including the dancehall ragga track "Raggae Dance," the hip-house track "House Your Body," several crucial sample productions (the title track, "What the Hell You Come in Here For," "How Low Can You Go") and even the touching R&B production "Pressed Against the Glass," Kool proves himself a master of just about every type of party music then circulating. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
