All Music Guide Review

You can almost make a case for the If I Had a Gun EP as a substitute for the full-length from which the majority of it, in one form or another, is culled. The title track is Soul Rotation's obvious single, and is accompanied here by typically hilarious and irreverent live recordings of two more of the LP's best tracks ("Silly Dreams" and "The Conspiracy Song"), not to mention the notorious "Best Thanksgiving Ever" performance of the band's trademark song, "Bitchin' Camaro." The disc ends with the instrumental outtake "Dolce," making it an essential companion piece for fans, but not a necessity for the casual listener. ~ Bryan Carroll, All Music Guide
