Carol Douglas' soft, reedy vocals haven't impressed everyone, but she could sing disco floaters รก la "Midnight Love Affair," as well as anyone with her cute sexy voice. Her vocal shortcomings, however, become painfully obvious on uptempo numbers. She just didn't have the power of a Gloria Gaynor or a Donna Summer to deliver on "Headline News" and similar disco boogies. Douglas was more at-home singing European-style disco (side one) than the rougher, more demanding U.S. disco (side two). ~ Andrew Hamilton, All Music Guide
