    An interesting collection, this compilation collects interpretations of classic Blue Note recordings by contemporary jazz artists. Though many of the songs pale in comparison to the originals, many of the new interpretations offer fascinating twists on the original jazz phrases. Some of the highlights include Diane Reeves and Geri Allen performing Herbie Hancock's "Maiden Voyage," the smooth, cool performance of Holly Cole on "Hum Drum Blues" with Javon Jackson and Mulgrew Miller, and T.S.
