Pilot's Just Like This is a double-disc set of unreleased material Mick Ronson recorded between 1976 and 1977. Ronson wasn't exactly at the peak of his popularity during these two years -- his two solo albums hadn't gone anywhere, but his work with Ian Hunter was reasonably popular -- and consequently couldn't get this material released at the time. That means that the appearance of Just Like This was quite welcome among Ronson fanatics. The music may not be among his very best, but it's often good, and always of interest to his legions of fans. Of special note are the liner notes written by Hunter, who offers some insight to this previously undocumented era of Ronson's career. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide
