Submit Your ReviewAn excellent work, Tempo Presente is a series of measured, emotional ballads, occasionally charged by a few romps more worthy of Rio's Carnaval season. On the instrumental "Rio Das Pedras," "Dono Do Logar," and the title track, Lobo cultivates a luxurious, contemplative, slightly melancholy atmosphere rarely equalled in Brazilian circles. Despite the intimacy, he invites several guests to augment his base band, including duet performers Joyce and Dori Caymmi plus a large string section for several tracks. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
