The second volume of Polymedia's 80's New Wave series focuses on more singles from the new wave era, most of which feature the use of synthesizers and/or drum programming. Many of the songs -- including Gary Numan's "Cars," Soft Cell's "Tainted Love," Kraftwerk's "The Model," Thomas Dolby's "She Blinded Me With Science," and Yello's "Oh Yeah" -- will be familiar to the average listener. Polyrock's "Your Dragging Feet" and Dalek I Love You's "Dalek I Love You" are out-of-left-field surprises; the former barely scraped the club chart upon release in 1980, and the latter will likely be more familiar to the average Brit. ~ Andy Kellman, All Music Guide
