Victor Feldman's final trio set (recorded four years before his death) features Feldman strictly on acoustic piano, along with bassist John Patitucci and his son Trevor Feldman on drums. The music on this difficult-to-find LP is a bit unusual, for it finds the pianist turning seven Frederic Chopin melodies into jazz. The interpretations are fine but not all that adventurous in spite of Victor Feldman's talents, making this a set of limited interest. ~ Scott Yanow, All Music Guide
