    All Music Guide Review

A obscure, punk-influenced folk-rocker from Tucson, Arizona, Fish Karma brings a very irreverent and twisted sense of humor to the consistently goofy Teddy in the Sky with Diamonds. Bob Dylan is one of Karma's main influences, but Dylan was never as nutty as Karma. Occasionally, he'll use humor to be thought-provoking. "God Is a Groovy Guy" questions the Judeo-Christian portrayal of God, while "An Artist's Lament" pokes fun at hipsters and slackers who are financially dependent on their parents. But most of the time, the singer/guitarist is content to simply have fun. Whether Karma is ridiculing National Rifle Association members on "God Save the N.R.A." or new age philosophers on "New Age," this is a wildly entertaining CD. ~ Alex Henderson, All Music Guide
