An interesting, albeit rarely compelling, collaboration between Spectrum's Sonic Boom and the members of Seattle's Jessamine, A Pox on You is primarily an excuse for the two groups to commune in their shared affection for vintage electronics. The title cut, a cover of the Silver Apples tune, is far and away the most conventional of the five tracks, its dense, swirling sound the product of gurgling analog synths and even a theremin; the remaining material comprises a series of instrumental drone constructs, the most impressive being the 11-minute "Radiophonic (Musique Concrete)," but nothing here quite hits the peaks one might expect. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
