Since they had begun to recycle ideas within the studio, the Fixx decided to release a live album for the follow-up to 1986's Walkabout. Comprised of recordings made at two Canadian concerts from 1986, React is a competent but uninvolving document of the Fixx in concert, turning out all of their major hits in a professional manner. In other words, only die-hard fans will find this of much interest, and even they will fail to be impressed by the three new songs added to the album as an enticement to collectors. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide
