    All Music Guide Review

The first LP from Levert -- consisting of Ed Levert's (O'Jays) two sons, Gerald and Sean, and friend Marc Gordon -- sparked a debate in Cleveland. Particularly controversial was the single "I'm Still," a heart stopping ballad sung in classic O'Jays' style. Nobody believed Gerald was singing lead (everyone thought it was Ed) and that Tempre Records was trying to pull a fast one, but it was indeed Gerald -- proof that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. The song did well on the R&B charts and established the band as serious crooners. Unfortunately, nothing else comes close to "I'm Still"; mundane ballads like "I Want Too" and formulaic bootie shakers such as "Dancing with You," "Jam" and "All in the Way You Dance" are easily forgettable. Even the title track lacks something. This album is essential only for "I'm Still," written by Gerald and Eddie Levert -- a song you won't find on any Levert compilation LP. ~ Andrew Hamilton, All Music Guide
