With this split being the first post-release after The Good, The Bad and The Argyle, it's nice to see that the Souls haven't strayed too far from their irate, but heartfelt pop-punk. Heck they even pull off a cover of "Born To Lose" by Johnny Cash; a song that no matter what generation you're apart of, it still hits a little too close to home. Both of these tracks can be found on their Maniacal Laughter album -don't you hate it when a band does that?- but for all those who must have the Souls complete discography...As for Buglite, it's some pretty cute pop-punk that fall in the range of "overly sensitive kid develops a crush on this cute girl, she breaks his heart, and them whines about it for the rest of his life." Sad, almost pathetic, but everyone who's had a traumatic heartbreak can relate to this. ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide
