Like Ladies of the 80's: Volume 1, this volume is a guilty pleasure and includes soft rock songs like Karyn White's "Superwoman," Carly Simon's "Jesse" and Charlene's over the top "I've Never Been to Me." However, Volume 2 includes a larger number of dance tracks, including Shannon's "Let the Music Play," Rufus and Chaka Khan's "Ain't Nobody," Samantha Fox's "Naughty Girls (Need Love Too)" and Stacey Q's "Two of Hearts." The majority of the chart information is incorrect -- Linda Ronstadt and Juice Newton charted in 1988, while Taylor Dayne had a hit in 1980? -- but the collection is still a worthy purchase of female artists' pop hits from the 1980s. Like the rest of this budget-line series, the disc has nonexistent liner notes and banal cover art that has nothing to do with the music on the CD. ~ Gina Boldman, All Music Guide
