BET: Best of Rap City is an excellent collection of some of the best and most popular hip-hop singles of 1998 and 1999, nicely summing up the state of contemporary mainstream rap while providing a consistently strong listen. Some of the biggest names present are Eminem ("My Name Is"), Busta Rhymes ("What's It Gonna Be?!" with Janet Jackson), Jay-Z ("Hard Knock Life"), Master P ("Make 'Em Say Uhh!"), Nas ("Nas Is Like"), and 2Pac ("Changes"), among many others. It's a great way to pick up a lot of hit singles all at once, and it truly does play like a Best of Rap City episode. ~ Steve Huey, All Music Guide
