    All Music Guide Review

    "Galaxies" and "Fluids" are both on the Mountain Brothers album Self: Volume 1 and both are good songs. Galaxies is one of the standout songs on Self: Volume 1 with its mellow piano and drumbeat. "Fluids" is a good track too. But then you get to "Thoroughbred" the song that's not on Self: Volume 1 (It wasn't finished until after the album was done). In one word funky, Chops made a great beat with its guitar and drumbeat that would make Isaac Hayes proud. ~ Dan Gizzi, All Music Guide
