Phajja has made good on all the sizzling promise of their 1997 debut Seize the Moment, only this time the talented trio turns up the thermostat by several degrees. This album is about their vision; their take on relationships today. It has a definite feeling and point of view. For Meeting in the Ladies Room, Phajja enlisted the expertise of Mario Winans (a member of Sean Puffy Combs' hitmen); Rick "Dutch" Cousin, who has worked on projects with Will Smith; production teammates Eric Benét and Demonté Posey; Somethin' for the People; Rappers Lil' Cease and Mr. Bristal, part of the famed Junior M.A.F.I.A. crew, lent their rhyming skills as well. The album's debut single, "Checkin' for Me," is a dramatic telling of a woman's expectations for a little TLC, with all three members trading off on lead vocals. "Slept" is Phajja's first foray into 100-proof hip-hop, with Lil' Cease rockin' the mic. The cleverly written "Hater" features ultra-tight harmonies and jazz overtones, while the dazzling "What's Going On" resembles an R&B opera. Nokio of Dru Hill wrote the verses, and they wrote the bridge. Much edgier than their debut, Meeting in the Ladies Room gives both clarity and vision to the trio's message. ~ Paul Clifford, All Music Guide
