The opening track to the new Pachinko album is "9/13/68." This is an abrasive groove of drum and noise over a recorded telephone conversation. In that conversation a caller tells some dial-a-shrink person how he pushed his girlfriend down the stairs, killing her, because she "dressed like a whore." The effect is as disturbing and effective as the Butthole Surfers' "22 Going on 23" from Locust Abortion Technician. On "Aunt Doot," the vocalist firmly sets a pattern for sounding like Mike Hard (God Bullies). That is, part desperate evangelist, part involuntary catharsis. ~ Tom Schulte, All Music Guide
