    All Music Guide Review

Country singer and songwriter Terri Gibbs earned a lot of fans with her single, "Somebody's Knockin'," which quickly became a surprise nationwide country hit. It was also used as the first track for this debut album of the same name, released under the MCA Records label in 1980. A year later her songs landed her an Academy of Country Music's Best New Female Vocalist Award and the Country Music Association's Horizon Award. The album brought her a much-deserved Grammy Award nomination the following year, and a chance to appear on the Grand Ole Opry. This first full-length offering from the singer is a pleasant addition to any country music album collection. The title track, "Somebody's Knockin'" will probably be the favorite for many, but there are other gems to be sampled as well on this 10-track recording by Gibbs. ~ Charlotte Dillon, All Music Guide
