Backstreet Boys

The unauthorized Backstreet Boys DVD, Backstreet Stories, purports to tell the phenomenally popular boy band's story through interviews, band member profiles, and concert footage. Since it's unauthorized, however, much of the footage is old and used over and over again. Even worse, there are no interviews with the Boys themselves; producer Lou Pearlman is the most prominent person interviewed. Though some of the old home movies of the Backstreet Boys' early days might thrill diehard fans, Backstreet Stories is an opportunistic, quickly and poorly made DVD that offers fans little of what it promises. ~ Heather Phares, All Music Guide
