Most of this 15-track compilation deals with her 1972-1975 stint on Buddah, ending with a few tracks from the late '70s and early '80s. Those who prefer '60s soul to '70s soul will prefer her early work, but at the time of its release this was the best CD compilation of her material available, including the hits "Give Me Your Love," "From His Woman to You, " and "Shackin' Up." The version of "Yes I'm Ready" here, by the way, is not the 1965 original, but an early-'70s remake. ~ Richie Unterberger, All Music Guide
